Learners analyze DC and AC circuits, test passive components, and measure electrical quantities using appropriate tests and equipment. Construction and troubleshooting techniques for circuits are introduced, and simulating circuits, and creating schematic diagrams using computer-aided design software are also covered.ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS IStudy of discrete semiconductor devices. The operational characteristics of discrete, semiconductor components and component testing are explored. Students analyze, design, and troubleshoot circuits with discrete semiconductor devices. This course emphasizes the use of computer software to create schematic diagrams and for circuit simulation.DIGITAL CIRCUITS USING PROGRAMMABLE LOGICDesign digital logic circuits using programmable logic. Students design, simulate and test both combinational and sequential logic circuits, implemented using programmable logic.PROJECT MANAGEMENTManage technology-based projects. Students develop project charters, work breakdowns structures, task and resource schedules, monitoring and controlling of project scope, time, resources, costs, and quality are emphasized. The use of project management software as a tool to manage projects is also covered.TECHNOLOGY PROJECT PREPARATIONStudents develop a project proposal in preparation for the technology project. The system and specifications are established. The depth and, appropriateness of the project as well as project, timelines and costs are determined.
