About Parth Nawkar

Hola! I\'m Parth Nawkar, currently in my third year at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, with a minor in Computer Science at IIT Bombay. My journey at IIT Bombay has been an exhilarating blend of creativity and technology. I embarked as a Graphics Designer at UMIC\'s Business vertical, exploring my creative side. However, the world of technical innovation soon captivated me, leading to my role as a Junior Design Engineer in the mechanical subsystem of Team Aerove, specializing in autonomous aerial vehicles. A remarkable milestone in my journey was our participation in the UAS Challenge, where we competed against 30+ international teams in the UK. Our mission was to autonomously deliver a humanitarian aid drop box via a UAV. We also demonstrated the fastest assembly under 2 minutes and secured three awards: Design, Scrutineering, and Advancement. In addition, I had the privilege of working on a research project with Prof. Amuthan R from the Department of Aerospace Engineering. This project involved employing numerical methods to solve differential equations with applications in micro-patterns in structural mechanics. Beyond the technical realm, I also served as a Business Executive for the team, excelling in procuring sponsorships from ANSYS and managing various technical events. Currently, I hold the position of Senior Design Engineer, spearheading a VTOL project, guiding juniors, and making critical decisions. Concurrently, I\'m sharpening my skills as a Robotics Intern at Assert AI, leveraging my expertise in drone modeling. Academic mentorship is a responsibility I cherish, as I guide six sophomores in their academic journey at IITB. Aside from my academic pursuits, I\'m an NTSE scholar and an official FIDE-rated Chess player, always ready for a strategic game on the board.
