Parth Dhiman is a 3rd Assistant Engineer (Marine Engineer) with NYK Ship Management Pte. Ltd. I am currently on the gas carrier fleet - Fully Refrigerarted LPG carriers. • I am a graduate from DMET/MERI Kolkata (Roll No. 8150, 2016 Entry Batch). • I have experience working on various merchant ships, such as VLCC, container ships, and chemical tankers, with an understanding of the machinery and the operations carried out on merchant ships, such as cargo operation, bunkering, inspections, machinery repair, and maintenance. • I had also assisted Wartsila-Sulzer technicians with RT Flex engine overhauls and carried out related jobs on the engines. • I have always strived to keep the machines under my responsibilities in the best condition possible and support my company’s objectives at all times. • I also have a deep understanding of all maritime-related regulatory compliance. • I have completed all mandatory STCW trainings and courses. I also have dangerous cargo endorsements for oil and gas (basic level), along with an IGF Code Certificate.    Singapore, On-Site • Independent in-charge watchkeeping engineer officer on fully refrigerated LPG carrier and chemical/product tanker • carried out machinery management and repair, maintenance work, and documentation as per SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, MLC, and other maritime conventions. • Performing regular inspections and maintenance tasks on main engines, auxiliary machinery, boilers, incinerators, pumps, compressors, purifiers, fresh water generators, sewage plants, and other systems • Conducting routine checks of engine room systems, including fuel, lubrication, cooling, and ventilation systems, and promptly addressing and troubleshooting any issues. • Collaborating with the engineering team to implement preventive maintenance plans and ensure uninterrupted vessel operations • Maintaining accurate records of machinery maintenance, repairs, and spare parts inventory • Led critical and environmentally sensitive operations such as bunkering fuel oil and lube oil, cargo operations on merchant ships, voyage estimations, EEXI, SEEMP plans, optimisation for maximum lifting, quantity assurance, and regulatory compliance. • following safety protocols and participating in emergency drills, ensuring readiness to respond effectively during critical situations. • Coordinated with team members to get vessels ready for external inspections ranging from vetting by ADNOC, Petronas, Shell, and Phillips 66, along with PSC inspections, annual class surveys by Class NK, CDI inspections, and internal audits by the company auditor.
