ABOUT PARSA HEYDARPOUR
Possessing extensive analytical and technical expertise in the field of structural engineering, Dr. Heydarpour is a performance-driven structural engineer with a wide-ranging background in both structural and geotechnical engineering. He has served in various capacities ranging from, detailed analysis of existing bridges, buildings, and utility lines in the vicinity of Near-Surface Structures (NSS)construction sites, geo-mechanical modeling of staged excavations. His most recent work includes development of settlement contours in the vicinity of near-surface structures incorporating computer-aided geotechnical modeling of support of excavation system (River Renew Project). Development of TBM induced settlement contours along tunnel (River Renew Project). Geo-mechanical modeling of shafts and other near-surface structures at multiple construction sites (NEBT Project). Detailed analysis of buildings and utility lines in the vicinity of near-surface structures (NEBT Project). Development of full-scale structural models for DDOT and WMATA bridges impacted by underground construction activities (NEBT Project). Analysis of multiple piled bridges located within the zone of influence of the construction activities (NEBT Project). Removal of temporary transit deck (Crenshaw/Lax transit corridor project). His Ph.D. research project was focused on seismic analysis of RC bridge columns. Through application of Nonlinear Static Analysis (NSA), Nonlinear Time-History Analysis, Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA), and reliability analysis of structures he has investigated the stability of slender RC bridge columns. He also has a great interest in structural monitoring, forensic engineering, and computer programming.
