Independently developed and deployed a full stack real-time electricity outage detection system in a SCADA/OT environment for The Ohio State University—monitoring 500+ electricity meters using a custom Python-based engine- Reverse-engineered an undocumented internal API (AVEVA eDNA Historian) to extract real-time asset data across all campus meters to display through a web-based application served securely through company firewalls- Integrated outage alerts with Microsoft Teams via Power Automate, ensuring the team receives instant alerts. Detected 3 confirmed outages and eliminated hours of potential downtime- Presented the system to ENGIE leadership and OSU facilities stakeholders to garner support and integrate feedback into the system-Automate data pipeline validation for utility meter IDs using Python, streamlining a week-long process to one hour- Utilize Excel, RStudio, Power BI, and Jupyter Notebooks to compile energy data and create visualizations communicating energy consumption trends for all meters across Ohio State University’s campus to verify energy conservation goals.
