About Parker Senst
Hi! I\'m Parker, a dual major in Economics and Psychology at UC Berkeley with a passion for building systems, products, and companies that actually work for people—not just in theory, but in real life.I grew up in Toronto and hold dual U.S.–Canadian citizenship, which has given me a global lens on how different systems shape outcomes across borders. That perspective fuels my curiosity about innovation that scales—and what it takes to make meaningful change durable. My journey began when I co-founded Happiness Battery, a Gen Z mental health startup focused on sustainable tools for emotional wellbeing. Building and testing a product from scratch taught me what it really takes to turn an idea into something people consistently use: clarity, empathy, and relentless iteration.I explored innovation from another angle during a cardiovascular research internship at Toronto General Hospital, where I helped analyze the viability of an ex vivo heart perfusion system. That experience deepened my appreciation for how scientific breakthroughs can be transformative—if they’re supported by the right infrastructure.Curious about how those systems get built and adopted, I dove into behavioral economics and public health research at Harvard and Berkeley, studying how structural and behavioral barriers limit access to tools like the Earned Income Tax Credit. Most recently, I completed a full-time summer internship at OMERS Ventures, where I worked on the Vertical AI team. I now continue with the fund as a Part-Time Investment Analyst, supporting sourcing, diligence, and competitive analysis across early-stage AI, healthcare, climate, and fintech. I’m especially drawn to teams building long-term infrastructure for complex problems and founders who prioritize durable innovation over hype.Across startups, science, research, and venture, one theme drives me: I care about how real people interact with systems—and how better design, better incentives, and better storytelling can unlock better outcomes.
