ABOUT PARKER KAVANAGH

Computer Engineer currently pursuing a Master’s degree, with a thesis focused on using model-checkers for concurrent non-stop software verification. Alongside my research, I am broadening my expertise through modules in urban computing (full-stack development), scalable computing, Internet of Things (IoT), security and privacy, and advanced software engineering.I am passionate about the intersection of hardware and software, with hands-on experience in both domains. On the hardware side, I have developed HDL codes in Verilog through integrated systems and digital design projects. On the software side, I have strengthened my skills in data structures and algorithms, deep learning, and software design analysis, enabling me to design, implement, and optimize efficient solutions.Beyond academia, I have gained industry experience through internships at Qorvo and Analog Devices (ADI). At Qorvo, I designed and developed a pre-silicon FPGA-based test platform, enabling early validation of production test flows and reducing development time for upcoming semiconductor products. I also implemented production test procedures in C and Python, later integrated into formal test flows. At ADI, I was a primary contributor to the ADAM (Autonomous Mobot) project, where I developed ROS2 nodes in Python and C++, led ROS1-to-ROS2 migration analysis, and integrated robotics hardware/software systems into a fully functional industrial platform.Driven, detail-oriented, and curious, I thrive in environments where I can bridge hardware and software to create innovative, scalable, and reliable systems.
