ABOUT PARKER HEPWORTH
I am a student at The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, where I am double-majoring in International Affairs and Economics and minoring in Spanish. Previously, I served as Secretary of Education in my high school’s student government, leading initiatives on school safety, communication, and engagement, and coordinating events for nearly people. I also worked as Events and Volunteer Coordinator for Mecklenburg County Teen Democrats, connecting volunteers with campaigns and supporting community outreach.Beyond politics, I have over a decade of experience in gymnastics as a competitive athlete and coach at Zenith Gymnastics, where I trained state champions and mentored young athletes. I continue to work as a coach at The Little Gym, where I am refining my communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. These roles have strengthened my leadership, adaptability, and organizational abilities.I aim to continue combining academic study with hands-on experience to advance inclusive and effective policy at both the local and international levels.
