ABOUT PARISA DIBA

I am currently studying a PhD at Teesside University. My PhD is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). I also work part-time as a Senior Research Assistant at Northumbria University. I am also a peer-reviewer for several academic journals. I am a highly skilled, inter-disciplinary social researcher. I have 10 years of experience and a reputable track record of undertaking high-quality research in academia, the public sector, and the third-sector. The research I have undertaken concerns a diverse range of research projects of various disciplines including Anthropology, Criminology, Public Health, Sociology and Social Policy. I have worked, as lead researcher, on a diverse range of internally and externally funded research projects including: the European Commission; the National Lottery Community Fund; the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR); and the Clinical Research Network (CRN). I have led, managed, and worked on several research projects, simultaneously. All projects I have worked on have been successfully delivered to completion. I have presented the methods and findings of various projects I have led and worked on at numerous local, national, and international conferences, events, meetings and workshops. I possess excellent knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research design and methods. I have strong experience in conducting various forms of ethnographic research, including digital, collaborative and auto–. My commitment to engaging in high-quality research on various projects is evidenced by my substantial record of publications in the form of books, book chapters, peer-reviewed journal articles and research reports, which continues to grow and develop.
