About Paris Francis

Paris Francis is a Senior and Posse Scholar at Lafayette College. The Autonomous Vehicles Lab Team she’s been apart of since her Freshman Year also gauged her interest in the Robotics industry and the Automotive industry. Her involvement in this lab team has enhanced her programming skills in various languages and softwares, thus fueling her interests in Computer Science. Paris has had a passion for STEM ever since she could remember and has participated in numerous STEM opportunity programs. Programs such as Girls Who Code and Google CSSI introduced her to advanced topics in STEM and made her love for the field grow even stronger which led to her love for STEM continuing in college.Paris is also passionate about being a leader in her community. At Lafayette, involved in the National Society of Black Engineers and the Association of Black Collegians as their Secretary and Historian. Her work as the Historian of ABC and a Digital Scholarship Services Assistant in the Skillman Library revolves around the preservation of Black History on Lafayette’s campus.

   Manage a Residence Hall of 20 First Year students, fostering an inclusive and healthy living environment among all residents. Host programs for community development, cultural awareness, enhancing life skills and academics. Serve as a mandated reporter and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents by serving as a liaison to Residence Life, as well as other communities on campus.
