About Parinaz Aleahmad
I am a researcher and engineer with a PhD degree in optics and photonics, working on design, fabrication and characterization of materials. I am skilled in developing photonic integrated circuits and high-performance laser diodes on InGaAsP quantum well materials. Working in the cleanroom with PECVD systems, mask aligner, e-beam lithography and metallization technologies experienced me in device fabrication process. I have also a diverse hands-on expertise including assembling and designing free space and fiber optics setups. In addition to my experimental skills, over the years I have developed theoretical and computational abilities to design and model beam propagation in photonic devices employing computer programming in Matlab and optical software packages like COMSOL and RSOFT.I have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, along with a passion for new and challenging topics. Authoring research papers with nearly 12 experimental and theoretical physicists equipped me with teamwork skills and also technical instruction experiences.
