ABOUT CHRISTOPHER RYAN PARENT
I run service operations and sales at Matrix Mechanical Group in Saint John, New Brunswick. We\'re a full-service HVAC, plumbing, and gas contractor working with homeowners and businesses across the southern part of the province.I came into Matrix to build the HVAC division from scratch. There was no infrastructure, no supplier network, no sales pipeline. I built all of it, and within the first two months we were quoting and installing heat pumps, ventilation systems, and full mechanical retrofits. Today I oversee a team of technicians across all three service lines.Most of my time is spent in front of customers. I do in-home consultations, walk people through their options, explain what rebates are available through programs like NB Power EESP, and help them figure out what actually makes sense for their house and their budget. We carry Samsung, Daikin, TOSOT, NTI, and Rheem equipment.My background is a bit different for this industry. I studied neuroscience at Dalhousie and nursing at UNB before finding my way into mechanical contracting through project management and sales. That training taught me how to listen, how to break down complex information, and how to earn trust quickly.
