Pet Food wholesaler & Brand owner in Nottingham, as well as 19 pet specialist retail stores and a web store. Brought in to modernise, reduce cost and increase productivity of all aspects of the operations, from inbound purchase, in house repackaging, warehousing, distribution and Ecommerce. • Improved the Ecommerce offering, from 7 staff to 4 by implementing the WMS module of Venditan, standard service was 3 to 5 days, so brought in next days with a 4pm cut off and additional fee. Reduced stock holding down from £170k to £110k. • Improved delivery to own stores, giving dedicated days and using Ecommerce as Central Stock holding for suppliers with high MOV, ensuring stores kept a 95% availability. Reduced transport costing by ensuring economical runs as well as all recyclable items returned to head office.• After presenting a business case for improvements in our Re-Packaging facility the Board agreed to £480k capex to update some of the machinery and integrate some of the lines. Purchases included rotary feeder, X-Ray/Weighing machine, Wet Glue Labeller and Robotic palletiser, as well as refurb of existing kit, ensuring everything is up to PUWR standards. As well as increased productivity overall, one line changed from 18 operatives to 5.• Lead for H&S on site, ensuring we are compliant with current legislation which included internal and external H&S audits, Fire Risk assessments, Gas & Air Con yearly inspection, LOLER for all lifting equipment, PUWER for machinery, and Electrical certification. All site maintenance from issues with general facilities to roof, gutters, walkways and lighting.

I am an exceptional problem solver, team builder and trouble shooter.Recent Achievements:• Put out to tender £950k transport contract, negotiated all interested party to bring top two in front of board.(September 2017)• Produced detailed weekly Management Information reports to ensure and prove KPI\'s I set are achieved based on customers SLA and my budget.(January 2016) Monthly presentation to board.(Current)• Held monthly meeting with all external carriers to ensure SLA\'s are met and negotiated commercials based on both carton and consignment rates.(June 2012)• As well as implementing a new WMS (Red Prairie) in its basic form, I took it through to system directed picking and added on a returns module.(September 2010, April 2012, March 2014) Currently re-tailored MS Navision 2015 to bring out best efficiencies between 3 warehouses.(Current)• After completing a space planning project, got the board’s approval to invest £40K and build of a drive in rack, 50m of Long Span and additional 20m x 25m x 5m high temporary structure being erected on to the side of the existing building.(March 2015) Currently just finish a £500k warehouse refit project to house a new decorating plant.(July 2018)• Changed existing shift patterns of 24 different ones to a straight 6-2, 2-10 and 10-6 with a 6th day every 3 weeks to cover weekends, without extra cost to existing wage bill, but reduction in agency staff used and overtime requirement.(September 2015)
