Vehicle Operations Dimensional Control Department documentation section is responsible to establish documentation for the implementation of Total Vehicle DCD 3-2-1 Locator and measuring strategy for level 3 and level 4 measuring points.• Coordinate Master Control Point cross functional team (Dimensional Control Team) to establish common locator strategy for Stamping & Body Construction.• Control common locator strategy for Stamping and Body Construction to provide evaluation of production process• Establish locator files as a basis for the locator strategy for gauges, dies and fixtures Determination of rational measuring points for SPC and to prove process capability (Level 3, & Process Control (Level 4)• In cooperation with production and process planning Based on the DCD concept and cost decision a DVA Baseline model will be established to support the DCD team with locator, design and process decisions. The following Team efforts are performed by DCD documentation section:• Send invitations and agendas for MCP meetings to all affected departments which are necessary to get an agreement in regard of Locator and measuring point concept.• Support the MCP Team with DVA studies (if applicable)• If locator and measuring points are agreed by all affected areas, manual or electronic markup’s will be distributed showing the agreed strategy.• Handover of markup’s to DCD-FSS. FSS to incorporate Locator and measuring points into chosen Ford CAD System.• Once the information is established in CAD and stored for everybody accessible, DCD Documentation section has to distribute the information of released LD-Files in CAD.• Every change after initial creation of the LD-CAD-Files must follow the LRR procedure.
