Building agentic applications, from research to deployment. Creating robust evals to measure performance.Designed and deployed an adaptive assessment framework, now adopted by a major UK school entrance examination board as a replacement for traditional linear assessments.Built a state-of-the-art knowledge tracing model by repurposing a transformer architecture to encode learning histories instead of text. Designed custom embedding strategies for categorical features and integrated semantic embeddings of content to enrich inputs, significantly improving predictive accuracy and recommendation quality.Developed a transformer-based NLP model to assess adult learner writing skills at FE college enrolment. Secured funding from the Ufi VocTech Trust. The model has supported tens of thousands of learners to date.Won the MIT Solve AI-Enabled Assessments Challenge, leading the development of an AI-driven system to track student writing ability and provide feedback using a combination of custom models, LLMs and fine tuned LLM’s.Led development of Century’s first GenAI feature — a quiz generator grounded in proprietary learning materials. Responsibilities included R&D, evaluation strategy design, data collection, and collaboration with engineering and product teams. Work closely with Product to align technical solutions with user needs and drive feature development.Supervised three MSc research projects in collaboration with UCL.
