Chartered Accountant, MBA (Finance) and Law Graduate, with over 25 years of experience, of which around 17 years @ICICI Bank, 4 years at IDFC Bank as a founding team member and the rest across large NBFCs. Over time, realised that TRUE freedom lies in 1) my ‘own contentment ‘ 2) Owning my time! Now since 2023- I follow my interest of being associated with the BFSI world in various capacities whilst following my passion of being closely associated with the bright inquisitive minds @ Various Biz Schools. Experience across all asset classes such as wholesale, mid markets, SME, Retail ( Secured & Unsecured Products) & Rural banking in various roles including biz, credit, risk, stressed asset mgmt, Biz development, product, policy, strategy & planning. Broadly spent 12 years in retail banking & rural retail /SME, & approx 10 years in Mid Markets & corporate / wholesale banking & 3 years in strategy & corporate finance ( & an additional 2 yrs at NSE) As a CRO @ Fullerton India HFC, responsible for (underwriting - till Q1-FY21) Risk Policy, Technical Valuation, Collections including Legal, Operations Risk, FCU, HindSighting, Market Risk and Internal Control. Also as a part of management team, responsible for interactions with Banks and rating agencies and other key stakeholders. More particularly in the last 15 years prior to Fullerton, held key roles as summarised – • Head Retail & Rural Risk - IDFC • Head- Product Policy & Credit Governance at IDFC Wholesale/ Commercial Bank including being a part of leadership team to set up Commercial bank • Relationship Head and Joint - West Head for a portfolio of stress clients aggregating approximately Rs 40.00 billion • Co-founder and Country Head- Credit, Mid Corporate Group, Wholesale Banking leading a team of 20 credit analysts of the Bank. • Zonal credit Head within business : Corporate Banking in FY 2010 • Set up from scratch the Product Policy unit to develop an entire suite of products for Rural & Agri Business & additional charge for product development & policy for SME business and corporate credit cards. • Set up from scratch a Credit & Operations Unit in Rural & Agri Busines which involved set up about 80 credit units across India Key Strengths: 1. Wide experience across various segments of the bank (viz, Large Corporates, Mid Corporates, SME, Rural, MFIs and Retail including Mortgages) & across various functions 2.
