ABOUT PARAG JAIN

Parag brings around 20 years of diverse, valuable domain and industry experience to the table. In his current role, Parag is spearheading Credit Risk - Institutional Securities Group (traded products and lending), and Wealth Management - Reporting, Portfolio Analysis, Stress Testing Analytics (CCAR, CECL and Climate Risk) and Power BI automation functions, in Morgan Stanley\'s Firm Risk Management Division in Mumbai. Previously, he was leading the Credit Risk IB Scenarios Exposure Analysis stress testing team of 25 in the Risk Data Management, CRO organization at Credit Suisse, Pune, supporting various key stakeholder groups viz. Credit Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Basel Measurement and Reporting, Quantitative Analytics and regulators (FINMA, PRA and FED).His earlier role included managing a GL vs. Trade Reconciliation process for US stakeholders.Prior to CS, Parag worked at Citibank, as a Vice President and handled EMEA Financial and Management Reporting, and Controllership functions in Mumbai. He managed a team of 25 professionals. Additionally, acted as a Risk and Control regional lead for the broader EMEA Fin Rep Team.Parag had also been an Assistant Vice President within Credit Suisse\'s Group Finance\'s Alternative Investments Group working out of the Pune Office. Prior to this position, he had been a Senior Accounting Analyst - Team Leader for almost 2.5 years. He acted as a Financial Controller for US and other Subsidiaries of Credit Suisse catering to the Private Equity and Hedge Funds business at CS.In this role, Parag managed 4 accountants with the primary responsibility of accounting for the Firm\'s investments in various CFIG, Merchant Banking Funds, Real Estate Funds, Employee Plans. Prior to joining CS, he was associated with Copal Partners, a well known research company. He was responsible for analyzing and preparing research reports for DB \'s LOC in below investment grade companies.Specialties: Parag is a qualified Chartered Accountant in India, holds CPA (Australia) recognition and completed his MBA from SIBM, Pune.His key functional experience areas include Credit Risk Portfolio Analysis and Reporting, Scenarios Stress Testing, Fin Rep, Mgmt Reporting, LE Controllership, Fin Accounting (PE funds), Financial Statements / Annual/Quarterly reports analysis and Leveraged Finance.In 2021, he successfully completed a coveted Fintech and Applied Risk Management Certification Programme from IIM Lucknow and qualified as a CPA (Australia) in 2023.
