About Nikhil Parab
I am a dedicated researcher with a strong background in biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, and molecular biology, aspiring to advance the fields of computational biology, cancer research, and genomics. My research spans diverse areas, including T cell receptor engineering for HPV-related cancers, spatiotemporal modeling of deep brain stimulation (DBS) electrodes, and the optimization of CRISPR-Cas systems for genome editing. With hands-on expertise in computational simulations, qPCR, flow cytometry, and RNA/DNA analysis, I aim to bridge experimental and computational approaches to uncover novel insights into cancer biology. I am excited to contribute to innovative research that addresses pressing challenges in cancer and genomic medicine. Through my PhD journey, I look forward to expanding my skill set and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to drive impactful discoveries.

Perform T cell functional assays by coculturing candidate TCR-T cells with target cells expressing HPV16 E6/E7 peptides to assess specificity and functionality. Process cell samples for flow cytometry staining and supernatants for IFNγ ELISA analysis to evaluate TCR-T cell activation and cytokine release. Analyze experimental results to determine TCR-T cell MHC allele restrictions and their ability to detect HPV16-associated oncoproteins.
