About Papiya Das
I am recently a third year PhD student in Computer Science from University of Florence, Italy. My work focuses on understanding how unmanned aerial systems interact with road networks, and developing risk models that quantify the indirect and direct hazards drones may pose over busy urban roads. In parallel, I work extensively on traffic prediction using time-series models, including GRU and LSTM architectures to understand and predict urban traffic dynamics. I am broadly interested in aerial autonomy, intelligent transportation systems, and safety-critical modeling.In parallel, I work on bug detection (HH) using YOLO models, focusing on aerial image analysis and robust dataset generation.
