ABOUT PAOLO ZUIN

I am an industrial engineer with over seven years leading high impact consulting projects across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. My expertise lies in driving process improvement, cost reduction, and digital transformation in supply chain and procurement for Fortune 500 companies across sectors such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, telecommunications, and manufacturing. Currently at BASF, I am leading the implementation of Celonis process mining technology at the Global Catalyst Business to optimize their inventory. Additionally, I have supported the rollout of a Supply Chain Control Tower, significantly enhancing visibility and resilience across BASF’s ocean and global logistics operations. I am also driving a cost-reduction initiative in packaging spend and logistics at BASF’s largest European site. Furthermore I am the solution owner for VMI and EDI projects that ensures seamless integration with our global customers and suppliers. Before joining BASF, I worked in external consultancy, where I served as the Global PMO for a control tower implementation project at Unilever. This project integrated operations with a 4PL provider (Maersk Logistics) and a unified digital platform for air and ocean logistics across 100+ countries, delivering enhanced global supply chain visibility and agility. Additionally, I led process improvement and strategic sourcing initiatives for major clients, including Bayer AG, Kellogg\'s, and Telefónica. Beyond consulting, I have been active in digital entrepreneurship since 2012, having launched and managed several projects, including a successful ecommerce platform for marble tiles in Peru.
