ABOUT PAOLO TENTI

Paolo Tenti is Emeritus Professor of Electronics at the University of Padova. His main interests are in industrial electronics, static power conversion, and electromagnetic compatibility. In these areas he holds national and international patents and published a number of scientific and technical papers and some textbooks. In particular, several contributions have been dedicated to the application of modern control theories (optimum control, multi-variable hysteresis control, time-sharing control, sliding mode control, fuzzy control) to power electronics equipment for industrial and space/avionics applications. Currently, he is mainly involved with- electromagnetic compatibility issues in industrial equipment - electromagnetic interference in smart-power integrated circuits - digital control of switched-mode power supplies - power quality issues and harmonic and reactive compensation techniques in electrical networks operating under non-sinusoidal conditions - energy control in smart grids He was responsible of several research programs, funded either by National or International Public Institutions or by private companies. He has been serving in the steering committees of most International Conferences on Power Electronics Annual Meeting, EPE, PEDS, etc.). Paolo Tenti is a Fellow of the and a member the Italian Association of Electric and Electronic Engineers.
