ABOUT PAOLO PONDRANO
My career begins in in EDISON as Electrical Project Engineer for power plants.I work at the Hydro-Power Plant of Semenza from design to construction and commissioning phase, specializing in the field of power generation and automation systems.Subsequently during the design, construction and commissioning of the Combined Cycle Power Plant in Piacenza I achieve an high level expertise in power transformers, electrical protection systems and large turbo generators.In 2006 I work on the new electrical substation of Magisano as Project Engineer Coordinator.In 2007 I join TECHINT thanks to both the recognized technical skills and personal characteristics such as a strong orientation to problem solving and a careful control and monitoring of the project progress. In TECHINT - EPC Contractor for oil & gas, power plants - I cover the role of Project Engineering Manager, particularly in the LNG sector. The most representative project is the Swinoujscie LNG Terminal in Poland (client Polskie LNG). I start in 2010 coordinating the engineering team in Italy and Poland. Over the years I cover several key roles for the success of the project.In April 2012 I begin my activity at site as Field Engineering Manager in charge of the site technical office and coordinating 25 people. This experience allows me to expand the technical skills of multidisciplinary engineering to support construction, commissioning and start-up and the management of a heterogeneous and complex multinational team. This project allows me to further extend my knowledge to the contractual and administrative areas and from 2016 I take on the roles, still in place, of Branch Manager TECHINT Poland, Project Manager for TECHINT and Deputy Project Director for the Consortium.The competence and reliability recognized by the clients together with the excellent interpersonal and coordination skills mean that I am entrusted, as of 2017, the role of Head of the Electrical Engineering Department at TECHINT.
