Dynamic Cable System Design Engineer @Prysmian

System Design Engineer for worldwide AC Submarine cable projects, 15kV to 400kV. Specializing in offshore windfarms for both Inter-array and Export cable, but with experience in Interconnectors and O&G industry. Further experience in the new challenging field of HVAC Submarine Dynamic cables for floating windfarms and power from shore applications. Currently involved in all the phases from engineering analysis and feasibility studies to tendering activities and projects execution. Lead System Design Engineer in various projects, amongst which: • 275 kV Offshore windfarm export cable projects in UK (≈420 M€). Tender on-going • 220 kV Offshore windfarm export cable projects in Poland (≈100 M€). Tender On-going • 66 kV Floating offshore windfarm dynamic export cable in UK (≈70 M€). In execution • 66 kV Floating offshore windfarm dynamic export cable in France (≈30 M€). In execution • 66 kV Inter-array cable framework agreement in Europe and US (≈270 M€). In execution Tendering activities: • Interpreting client specifications, relevant international and regional standards in order to produce a compliant and cost optimized cable system design respecting tight deadlines. • Preparing technical proposal documents detailing cable design, accessories, and testing protocols (both during pre-qualification and production phase) • Interfacing directly with client, Sales Managers, Logistics, Quality, R&D, Testing, Installation departments. Project execution: • Writing and submitting contract documentation in accordance with agreed contract Master Document Register including cable design and calculations, testing procedures and accessories specifications. • Detailed electrical, mechanical, EMF calculations and reports to justify and prove design / installation where problems arise. • Liaising with client, installation, manufacturing, quality, testing etc. to keep project running to schedule whilst minimising problems.
