About Paola Torre
I am passionate about making a difference to human health through innovative research. I have had the opportunity to work on and help develop innovative approaches to study disease biology through my Ph.D. and postdocs; I evaluate novel research platforms and technologies through entrepreneurial activities and angel investment groups. I really enjoy being involved in cutting edge work. I have been fortunate to develop a multidisciplinary research background spanning cell and molecular biology, imaging, biochemistry, cell engineering, drug delivery, as well as expertise with fluorescent microscopy and spectroscopy as well as protein purification, characterization and fluorescent labelling of proteins, nucleic acids, lipids and polymers. This has provided useful while working on numerous interdisciplinary projects and collaborations as well as evaluating various technologies and communicating with different groups. I enjoy working as part of a team to further science and have worked closely with researchers, clinicians, investors, CEOs and entrepreneurs.
