ABOUT PAOLA QUALIZZA
I\'m a social enterprise co-founder, group facilitator, people connector, multi-sensory event producer and host, practicing anti-oppressive and non-extractive ways of being in relationship with myself, other people, and the land. With the team at Groundswell School, I co-create educational content with an anti-capitalist, feminist, queer, and anti-racist lens, and a radical (as in,\"grasping things at the root\"- Dr. Angela Davis) and trauma-informed, care-centered approach, and offer soft landing spaces to learn and practice in. My social identity as a white woman obviously influences my work, so I learn from scholars and community leaders who are Indigenous, Black, and People of Colour, and am accountable to BIPOC peers in my community. I bring my interests in alternative economic models, play, ecology, placemaking, somatics, and theatre into my work.
