I am a Border native (Cd. Juarez/El Paso, Texas). Throughout my academic and professional career, I have been passionate about civic involvement, women\'s issues, public advocacy, volunteerism, and leadership development. I lead the strategic planning and implementation of Komen\'s national volunteer program and communications across several states. I am a native Spanish speaker and a people person. I excel at public speaking and spend summers mentoring bright high school and college students and volunteering with Latine youth. As a Cultural Anthropologist, I am fascinated by the \"creation\" of culture and group dynamics!
