ABOUT PAOLA ABBATE
Over the past ten years I have built a solid instructional design profile and substantial (e)-learning experience by working within the Learning Innovation Programme of the International Training Centre of the ILO, United Nations specialized Angency based in Turin, Italy and for other ITCILO Programmes and UN Agencies.My main area of work consists in offering innovative solutions in the digital content creation area both to in-house teams and external and international partner agencies.Presently, I am working on innovative digital solutions to connect multiple platforms, and in order to overcome programmatic challenges I am adopting a client-oriented approach that brings together user needs and economic feasibility of the whole project. This is possible thanks to a sound understanding of the stakeholders goals and a deep knowledge of the human centered design approach.I am also engaged in the development of digital toolkits and products (such as the ILO Toolkit for journalists reporting on forced labour and the toolkit on digital inclusion of Vietnamese farmers in the Annamites region), tackling each aspect of the design, from concept to implementation, and bearing in mind the sustainability of the whole process. Thanks to the above mentioned products, I have significantly contributed to the outreach and visibility of several stakeholders projects.
