In 2015, while shuttling between Pune and Mumbai for client meetings, the idea to explore online products led me & my Best Friend to establish Fishtokri. Extensive research and a feasibility study pointed to the potential success of selling fresh fish online. Initially, we managed our inventory, offering a variety of fishes.The lockdown prompted a strategic overhaul. To meet the increased demand, Saturday Club Global Trust members connected me with a packaging consultant. This collaboration enhanced our ability to maintain fish freshness. From a single unit for packing and storing, we evolved our approach.In the past, customers connected via WhatsApp or calls, and our in-house delivery team handled the rest. Today, we process, cut, clean, and vacuum-pack the fishes, reducing order processing time from 45 to 5 minutes. With one processing unit and delivery hub, we\'ve streamlined operations, aiming to increase our footprint across Mumbai by August 2024.Each storage hub will serve within a 5km radius, expanding our reach in the MMR Region. Our stringent procurement and quality control policy underscore our commitment to delivering fresh seafood to your doorstep.Our vision? To fulfill orders daily across Mumbai, amounting to 1 ton of fish – 1% of the city\'s daily consumption. Achieving this ambitious goal requires building a strong team of 100 dedicated individuals.
