Controls and stability compensation and analysis: Torque and Position loop controls for basic assist functionality and designing closed-loop compensators to improve system stability margins. Analyzing the stability of EPAS calibrations performed by the dynamics team for appropriate stability margins. System Identification: Conducting plant sweeps, collecting data, and using optimization algorithms to develop controls oriented models. Controls Algorithm Development: Develop various assist system functionalities and validated system-level co-simulation with the Carsim high-fidelity vehicle dynamics plant model. Plant Model Correlation: Correlate developed plant model in frequency and time domain against gathered data to improve model fidelity for real-time co-simulation on Dspace HiL benches. Process: Developed several processes for controls engineering and Plant modeling along with documentation to synthesize organizational standard operational procedures.
