Growing up in Florida was fun. As a kid, I enjoyed the summer sun and the warm winters. When they kept asking me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always said I wanted to be a secretary. I think it was because my favorite show was \"The Lucy Show\" and she seemed to live such an exciting life working for Mr. Mooney.Somehow that aspiration turned into being the Business Office Manager for several architectural firms; a niche I\'m not sure how I fell into, but I became well versed in financial management, human resources, and all things accounting nonetheless. It supported my lifestyle and allowed me to raise my family in my hometown of Polk County, Florida for many years. A definite win-win.But there comes a time in everyone\'s life when they ask themselves if they\'re doing what they love and I did not - at least not anymore. So, much like the Beverly Hillbillies, I loaded up the truck and I moved to Manatee. County that is. Working for several architects in Sarasota proved to be a continuation of what I didn\'t want to do, so I went back to school and got my real estate license.My journey led me to working part-time in real estate and full-time as a Business Office Manager for the BB & T Bank Building in downtown Sarasota, Florida where I learned the many facets of property management. I\'m a true multi-tasker so when that job ended at 4:00, it allowed me to pursue my career in real estate. At least it did until the Spectors sold the building to a real estate developer from Miami who hired a Property Management company to oversee the building operations. I maintain my love of both Business Office Management and the day-to-day logistics of running a professional office, along with the excitement of helping Buyers and Sellers with their real estate needs. I have had enough of architecture though. maybe a law firm now?Follow me to see where Pamela: Part II ends up in life!
