Graphic artist and information designer from the media world. I am currently exploring new opportunities in Beijing while my husband is teaching and co-directing the Global Business Journalism program at Tsinghua University. Working as Visuals Director at Beijing Review. My husband and I also team up for multimedia workshops and presentations at universities around China. Specialties: Distilling information into organized visuals, illustrated diagrams, maps and charts, such as process graphics, timelines and financial graphics, both individually and on teams. Reporting & research for graphics, reports and articles. Hands-on art media: pencils, acrylics, watercolors & pastels. Photography, including travel, landscape & architecture. Experience with: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator. Familiar with Acrobat Professional, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Dreamweaver, HTML and CSS. Produce graphics on tight deadlines and balance them with longer-term projects. Work in content management systems - Methode and WordPress - for print and Web. Freelance illustrations, diagrams & writing in the hobby industry as well as freelance creation and design of promotional materials, logos and display artwork and labeling for conventions.
