My mission is to empower Women Entrepreneurs through financial education, networking, AItraining, and life skills.More than thirty years ago, I sought a loan from banks for my international business, which hadmulti-million-dollar contracts with brands including Adidas, Champion, and Reebok. It took meseven tries to finally find one banker willing to invest in my business.Decades later, the funding landscape is different (there are PE and VC firms in addition tobanks), but the challenge for female entrepreneurs to fund and grow successful enterprises isjust as steep.Since that bank “took a chance” on me, I have founded and built six enterprises and am anangel investor in many others. I’ve built a wealth of life lessons and personal connections, andunderstand what women founders need to thrive: financial education, networking, and life skills– including plenty of grit and support from people who have experienced the common ups anddowns of being an entrepreneur.I am also thrilled to have been named as a Global Ambassador for the Women’s EntrepreneurshipDay Organization,(WEDO) a grassroots, global organization dedicated to empowering womento participate actively in the economy.WHY I CAN HELP: My journey includes founding and leading a global design and manufacturing firm within the branded athletic products industry, collaborating with giants like: Nike Europe, Adidas, Champion Products, Reebok, the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the National Football League (NFL). I managed a global team with offices in Europe, Asia, and the US, while doing business in multiple currencies. In addition to being a 6x founder, angel investor, and a former General Partner of a venture fund, I uniquely understand both sides of the entrepreneur’s journey and what venture capitalists look for when considering an investment.
