Aloha! With over two decades of experience as a teacher, I\'m passionate about creating engaging and effective educational experiences for students. I hold a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, as well as a Master of Education with SEL emphasis in Social and Emotional Learning from National University and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development with a concentration in Early Childhood Development from California State University, East Bay.In addition to my teaching experience, I\'ve also had the pleasure of being a former professional cheerleader for the NFL Raiders as a \"Los Angeles Raiderette\" from 1986 to 1993. Though I cheered for the Raiders, I have to admit that my heart belongs to my New Orleans Saints!Aside from cheerleading, I\'ve also worked as a certified personal fitness coach, advocating for lifelong learning, health, and fitness in both children and adults. Also as a realtor, I’ve gained experience conducting property tours, preparing legal documentation, and providing exceptional client care.Currently, I\'m Kindergarten Instructor at the JT McWillam Elementary School in the Clark County School District, where I create and implement a comprehensive curriculum that caters to the developmental needs of young children. I\'m skilled in curriculum development, classroom management, technology integration, and assessment and evaluation. In my classroom, I strive to create a supportive and collaborative learning environment that helps students thrive.Outside of work, I love to travel and explore new places, especially Hawaii, which I consider my second home. The culture, people, and natural beauty of the islands have captured my heart. I also enjoy practicing Pilates and weight training, hiking, scuba diving, playing the guitar, and learning American Sign Language.My skills include parent-teacher communication, differentiated instruction, problem-solving, critical thinking, cultural competency, and more.
