ABOUT PAM ZUBECK
I\'ve been a journalist for 36 years in Kansas, Oklahoma and Colorado. My investigation of a school superintendent in Kansas lead to his conviction on nine felonies. A project I did in Oklahoma triggered a reorganization of the city\'s water department and the black-listing of a local engineering firm. After coming to Colorado, I investigated El Paso County\'s pension fund manager, which resulted in him being charged with 43 felonies and going to prison. Awards include four public service awards in Colorado, the Associated Press Managing Editors Public Service Award, the Jean Otto Friend of Freedom Award given by the Colorado Freedom of Information Council, numerous Society of Professional Journalists awards, second place in short-form news story from the Association of Alternative Weeklies in 2012 and the Sigma Delta Chi Public Service Journalism award for non-daily newspapers in the 2012 Society of Professional Journalists contest.
