ABOUT PAM KENN

For 25 seasons, Pam served the storied Boston Red Sox across all areas of the organization. Beginning as an intern in Pam steadily rose through the ranks to become Senior Vice President of Community, Alumni and Player Relations, a title she held until departing the club at the end of 2024.For 12 years (20••••24), Pam spearheaded community outreach for the club, as well as the team\'s interaction with current and former players and coaches. From 20••••15, Pam also had oversight of the publications, photography and archives departments. Pam was the club’s Director of Media Relations from 20••••12, the first woman to ever hold that position for the Boston Red Sox, acting as the day-to-day baseball public relations contact, handling all baseball-related press conferences, announcements and requests for uniformed personnel.Throughout her time at the Red Sox, Pam’s passion was managing the relationships between the organization and its former players and staff. She was integral in putting together events such as team reunions, uniform number retirements, Hall of Fame induction ceremonies, and served as Chair of the Red Sox Hall of Fame selection committee.Pam proudly received her B.S. in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2001. In April 2012, she was presented with an inaugural Alumni-on-the-Rise Award, presented by the Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management to those who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in the sport industry while also giving back to program with their time and resources.Since 2014, Pam has served on the Board of Trustees for the Sports Museum. In 2022 in the memory of her brother Doug, Pam ran the Boston Marathon for Samaritans, Inc, a nonprofit organization specializing in suicide prevention, and in 2023 joined their Board. In 2019, Pam was a participant in Lead Boston, a leadership program through the historic YW Boston, an organization aimed at eliminating racism and empowering women. She has also served on the Advisory Board of the Roxbury YMCA and the Advisory Council of the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts.Pam and her husband, Russ, have a daughter, Holly, a son, Ryan and a Golden Retriever named Tanner. She is also a stepmom to Russ\' three older children, Amanda, Drew, and Nick.
