I lead efforts to establish and strengthen partnerships with Latin American universities and international communities within Kentucky. My role focuses on fostering academic collaborations, facilitating exchange programs, and creating opportunities for global engagement that benefit both KSU and its international partners. I also focus on enhancing the retention and success of Latino students in alignment with the mission of the Office of Global Strategies and International Affairs. I lead collaborative projects and provide holistic support, including academic advising, career counseling, and leadership development. My responsibilities also include organizing community-building events, facilitating referrals to social services, and advocating for inclusive curriculum development. Additionally, I work closely with various departments and community organizations to address the unique needs of Latinx students, fostering their well-being and academic success.In addition to this role, I serve as the KSU Study Abroad Advisor, a CCSA Curriculum Committee Member, the Benjamin A. Gilman International Advisor, and the Campus Advisor for the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program at the Office of Global Strategies and International Affairs. In these capacities, I support undergraduate and graduate students in navigating study abroad opportunities and scholarship applications. My work involves advising students on selecting suitable programs and internships, guiding them through the application process, and promoting scholarship opportunities.I also collaborate with campus offices to provide coordinated support and help scholarship recipients maximize their international experiences. Through these initiatives, I am committed to expanding KSU’s global reach and enhancing students\' academic and cultural experiences.
