Oversee the material management operations of • Develop supply planning parameters / considerations such as level of safety stock, economic production quantities, minimum run quantities, transit times, process capacity, packing capacity, shipping constraints, inventory constraints etc to optimise production• Oversee production and inventory for SKUs across categories to balance capacity constraints and resolving critical product shortage issues• Oversee the supply planning process carried out by factory; supply planning (development of production plans in line with the existing constraints, alternate scenarios, key risks identified along with mitigation plans etc.) and inventory management of RM & FG at plants• Analyze the gaps in demand fulfilment /challenges & issues if any based on potential constraints in the factory and provide possible recommendations• Monitor overall production performance as well as factory performance on monthly basis and address any key deviations along with the factory head• Work with the Sales and Marketing teams to integrate market intelligence into the forecasts• Develop inventory policies and parameters to optimise working capital costs• Participate in long term capacity planning as well as other strategic planning decisions in the company• Work with the factory planners to prioritize the demand in co-ordination with the marketing stakeholders in the context of capacity or capital constraints.• Monitoring and reporting on significant variances between sales forecasts, budgets and business plans.• Drive improvement in forecast accuracy by analysing existing processes and making recommendations.
