I am the longest-serving analyst in enterprise architecture (EA) worldwide, with more than 35 years of experience providing authoritative business and technology insights. I have a strong record of guiding organizations through the complexities of digital transformation, business and IT strategy, and operational excellence. My professional expertise is founded on over 40 years of IT experience spanning various sectors, including financial services, consumer products, retail, government, and others. Prior to my work as an analyst and manager in the EA discipline, I held direct IT organizational roles, including management of retail software development for insurance and real estate, support for a successful startup venture from inception through public offering, and service as Director of Technology Planning for Taco Bell, formerly a division of PepsiCo.I joined META Group’s Enterprise Architecture Strategies team in 1998, which was acquired by Gartner in 2005. I enjoy developing impactful research and analysis, and engaging with our clients through video and face-to-face interactions all over the world.Earlier in my career, I held direct profit & loss and cost center responsibility for US$100 million and managed teams of over 65 IT professionals. Currently, I advise and support organizations with IT functions that have had as many as employees. I work with executive teams to align technology investments with strategic business outcomes.Looking to 2026 and beyond, my focus is on quantifying and maximizing the value that EA delivers throughout organizations, from board-level decision making to operational execution. I am committed to demonstrating the linkage between enterprise architecture, strategic planning, innovation, risk management, and digital transformation initiatives to the value it yields organizations that do so.I am a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman in the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists. These roles reflect a longstanding commitment to professionalism and the advancement of the information technology discipline. This has also allowed me to support the organization’s charity that brings the power of tech for impact through digital inclusion, education, charitable, and public engagement initiatives across the entire U.K.I am motivated by opportunities to make a tangible difference for clients and to contribute to cultures that reward initiative and strategic thinking. I look forward to the opportunity to support your organization at the highest level of strategic technology leadership.
