In this role, I oversee outreach initiatives, curriculum design, and student engagement while fostering a love for programming and nurturing young talent. As a recipient of Palantir\'s National Women in Technology Scholarship, I am passionate about leveraging technology to make a positive impact and excited to contribute to the advancement of women in the tech industry.During my time as a Data Reporter at The Daily Tar Heel, I honed my skills in data analysis, visualization, and data-driven journalism. This experience, combined with my proficiency in Python, R, and research methodologies, enables me to deliver impactful insights and create engaging visualizations. My most impactful project was working on an article that used data science to uncover concerning disparities in grade distribution within racial subgroups of students in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. This experience taught me the profound impact of data science and journalism in amplifying underrepresented voices and uncovering injustices.My background as a CS Teaching Assistant and Python instructor has equipped me with strong communication and mentoring skills. I excel in guiding students in Python programming fundamentals and encouraging their growth in the field. By adapting to each student\'s unique needs and maintaining regular communication with parents, I ensure a tailored learning experience that fosters growth and achievement.I am looking to pursue a career in software engineering, leveraging my diverse experience and passion for empowering others in the field of technology.

   Developed and shipped UI features using React and TypeScript to deliver scalable, user-centric web applications for SAS Data Office.• Designed and implemented RESTful APIs in Go, with end-to-end testing and validation using Postman and Python. • Supported production deployments and cadence releases using Kubernetes, ensuring stability and resolving deployment issues. • Engineered 19 examples for programmatically accessing the public REST APIs of SAS’s Information Catalog and Glossary using Postman. • Directed events for SASIC with around participants from SAS offices (Latin America, Beijing, Dubai, and India), promoting DE & I. • Architected multiple microservices and their APIs, as well as developed flexible and accessible user interfaces using Java, React, and Go. • Improved UI accessibility issues by triaging, delegating, and fixing issues, while cross-collaborating with teams across the organization. • Highly focused on developing high-quality software and maintaining low technical debt with the support of static analysis tools. • Enhanced test coverage by introducing unit and integration tests for UI components using Jest and React Testing Library. • Selected as a SAS Discovery Day panelist, discussing distributed systems and engineering best practices with prospective candidates.
