ABOUT PALLAVI SHOME

I’m a builder—of operating models, resilient teams, and lasting partnerships. Over the last 30 years, 9 of them as a Chief Operating Officer and Board Member, I’ve worked across financial services, telecom, operations and technology, helping organizations translate global ambition into local impact. Most recently, I served as the Chief Operating Officer at BNY Technology in India, where I led enterprise-wide transformation, workforce strategy, and operational governance.Whether it\'s scaling delivery models, executing, or navigating change across time zones and stakeholders—I bring structure, excitement, and forward motion. My experience spans leadership roles at Fidelity Investments, British Telecom, Standard Chartered Bank, and HCL Corp, across service delivery, business enablement, relationship management, and transformation. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of working globally, including an assignment in Boston with Fidelity, which shaped my appreciation for diverse work cultures and high-trust leadership.At the heart of it, I lead with intention. I believe in cultures that coach, not control. I’ve mentored dozens of professionals across levels, built leadership pipelines, and championed inclusivity and growth from within. Recognition along the way—like the President’s Award at Fidelity or the Most Influential Woman Leader honour from my alma mater—has been deeply meaningful, but it’s the everyday wins with people and teams that stay with me.I’m a lifelong learner. I hold certifications in COPC, Six Sigma, Lean Methods, Agile Leadership, and I\'m an Associate Certified Coach with the ICF. I’ve served on boards, worked on regulatory governance, hold an Independent Director credential from IICA and trained as a media spokesperson. I’m equally at home reviewing an operating dashboard, coaching a team through ambiguity, or choreographing a Zumba session (yes, I’m a licensed instructor—movement is joy!).
