About Pallav Bulsara

I chose to work in the healthcare industry because I wanted to use my knowledge and passion for the sciences to positively impact human health through the discovery and development of medicines. Over 20 years later, it remains important for me to make a difference in the health of individuals and broader society in this way. My skills set is expansive and unusually bridges biology, analytical and the physical sciences helping me to develop products with an understanding of the specific technical challenges unique to each discipline. I possess a track record in- Innovation and product development as evidenced through multiple patents and peer-reviewed scientific publications- Developing strategic relationships with academia, start-ups and biotechs to yield solutions to complex healthcare challenges and invigorate a product pipeline- Thought leadership to identify and evaluate new, upstream technologies, as well as expertise in product development on numerous matrix teams- Developing technical solutions for existing, marketed products, where my insight can be brought to bear on seemingly intractable challenges- Areas that are emergent such gene therapy and molecular diagnostics; both areas I have considerable interest and experience in.    Responsible for several US academic institutions and the Cardiovascular therapeutic area with a strong focus on mavacamten, a drug for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Setting up and establishing academic collaborations with internal SME\'s and external KOL\'s that fit with strategic business needs but still drive the science forward. A major focus is on CV medicine but have also been involved in oncology and gastroenterology (assessment of biomarkers).
