ABOUT PALLABI DAS
I work at the intersection of chemical engineering, geochemistry and material systems. My core research focuses on advancing sustainable solutions through three interconnected areas:(1) water treatment and modelling, addressing complex environmental challenges;(2) process intensification, emphasizing scale-up, prototyping, and sustainability; and (3) waste valorization and selective recovery, transforming by-products into valuable resources. A unifying theme across all three areas is the innovative use of membrane technologies and process engineering to enhance efficiency and achieve targeted outcomes. In my current role as a Senior Scientist and faculty member, I established a strong interdisciplinary research program, dedicated research lab on sustainable separation processes through extramural funding and robust industrial collaborations to facilitate fundamental and applied research.
