About Palak Sood
Undergraduate at IIT Jammu transitioning into AI engineering, with a focus on system-level intelligence rather than isolated models.I build end-to-end AI systems that operate on noisy, real-world data; from Computer Vision pipelines for image restoration to LLM-based agents for extraction, summarization, and automation, with an emphasis on evaluation, reliability, and failure modes.I am self-taught, competitive, and project-driven. Hackathons and open-ended problems are my preferred learning environment because they force rapid iteration, trade-off analysis, and clean system design.I am interested in roles where I can contribute to both applied problem-solving and rigorous system design, and where thoughtful evaluation and failure analysis are part of the engineering process. I am currently looking for AI/ML internships (Summer 2026) where I can leverage these skills to build and improve production-oriented intelligent systems.
