ABOUT PALAK MAJMUDAR
I became an ophthalmologist because vision is how we experience the world, and I wanted to spend my career protecting it. What I didn\'t expect was that watching patients lose their sight to diabetes and chronic disease would fundamentally change how I think about medicine itself. Those experiences pushed me upstream. I completed additional training in lifestyle medicine and spent time practicing longevity medicine, focused on understanding root causes rather than downstream damage. That work eventually extended into consulting for luxury wellness destinations, translating science-backed health optimization into real-world programs for high-performing individuals. Now I\'m focused on what I believe is the most consequential shift in medicine in a generation: the convergence of AI, healthtech, and clinical care. Physicians are largely on the sidelines of that conversation. We are the end users of the tools being built, accountable for the decisions those tools inform, and yet rarely in the room where they are designed or deployed. That needs to change. I work at that intersection, bringing rigorous clinical perspective to a space that moves fast and needs grounded medical thinking at the table. Double board-certified in Ophthalmology and Lifestyle Medicine. Based in New York City.
