About Palak Desai
I’m a startup operator and entrepreneur with over 5 years of experience working across the early-stage venture ecosystem. Previously, I evaluated and scouted startups for VCs, venture studios, and government innovation initiatives, and mentored early-stage founders on growth strategy and fundraising. I also serve as a Global Facilitator for Techstars Startup Weekend.I’ve now transitioned into an operator role as the Co-founder of Kalydo AI, a manufacturing operations intelligence platform that leverages existing factory camera infrastructure to capture real-time floor activity. Using computer vision, Kalydo AI delivers actionable insights across workforce productivity, safety, and output, enabling manufacturers to make data-driven operational decisions.My passion for community building has been constant throughout my life. I was fortunate to be the one who organized Asia’s 1st teen edition of Techstars Startup Weekend, the World’s 1st school edition of Techstars Startup Weekend, Gujarat’s 1st TedED of school, i.e. TGES TedED Club, Rajkot’s 1st TEDx i.e. TEDxKotechaChowk & led 1st University chapter of Startup Grind in Gujarat.
