As a credit risk professional for the last five years, I have worked on various aspects of borrowing in the commercial real estate banking in the United States - secured lending, unsecured lending, subscription financing as well as community development banking. Under commercial real estate, I\'ve had exposure to analyzing REITs and given their complex structure, understanding their financial statements and grading accordingly. During my term in community development banking, I have understood various aspects of lending involving the federal assistance available to borrowers & developers, besides analyzing the sponsor and construction risk. My portfolio includes and has included in the past loans for construction / refinance of commercial buildings (office, retail, warehouses, built-to-suit properties), multifamily and affordable multifamily, across the United States.
