About Palak Kumar

Palak is a recent law graduate from the Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. Throughout the three years of legal coursework and some practical exposure, she has immersed herself in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). She is also interested in exploring opportunities in compliance and contract lifecycle management (CLM) and looks forward to exploring various avenues in the law. Palak has experience in various areas of law gained during her law school internships. Palak has worked with the Hon\'ble President of the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission during her judicial internship, assisting in the drafting of judgments in numerous complex consumer cases covering areas such as real estate, banking, insurance, and medical negligence. While interning with a company, she refined her drafting skills by drafting key agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and partnership contracts. Balancing her academics with extra-curricular activities, she served as Co-Convenor of the IPR Society, organising creative outreach events to expand her batchmates\' horizons in the emerging area of intellectual property rights (IPR) and leading the outreach and creative support/campaigns of the IPR Society. She is currently an intern at NITI Aayog, where she works on policy research related to IPR reforms for tribal tourism and the protection of traditional knowledge. The exposure to core policymaking has also enabled her to create a space that allowed her to appreciate both her legal training and her broader view of policy, as well as her connection of legal constructs with real-world issues. With a strong legal background and an authentic desire to understand where the law intersects with innovation and compliance, Palak sets her sights on opportunities in IPR, compliance, or CLM. She is prepared to add value as a researcher and more, with her focus on detail and an interdisciplinary frame for a team committed to doing impactful legal work.
