Exploring a regenerative energy future, where we harvest the electricity in the air. A self-powering material that is growable and compostable + reduces the use of critical minerals. Early applications could include sensors and microbatteries→We are 4 women crafting a new, self-powering biomaterial that can generate electricity from the humidity in the air. Unlike other forms of power, it is not reliant on solar, wind, or fossil fuels - rather the latent charge existing in water vapor: hygrolelecticity. → Electric Skin is a deep tech project at the intersection of biology and electronics straddling speculative energy futures and very practical innovations. Our first prototype Biovolt is a temperature sensor.→ Electric Skin is currently on a hiatus as the team reorganizes.
