ABOUT PAIGE HAKOWSKI

I\'m Paige Hakowski and I am a passionate media professional with experience in control room operations, live broadcast direction, and video editing. I am a recent graduate of Temple University where I received my B.A. in Media Studies and Production with a concentration in International Communication. I graduated Summa Cum Laude and I had the honor of addressing my class as Klein College of Media and Communication\'s 2023 winter commencement speaker. At Temple, I was heavily involved with TUTV (Temple University Television). I served as a video editor, reporter, and eventually director/technical director for Temple Update, an award winning 30 minute weekly newscast. I video edited, technical directed, and served as the lighting director for Temple Tonight, a late night style talk show. And, I video edited and produced digital sketches for Temple Smash, an SNL style sketch comedy show. I also served as the studio assistant for the TUTV practicum course for three semesters under the direction of TUTV General Manager, Paul Gluck.With my experience working on TUTV, I was able to secure my three internships. I was a video/editing intern at ChatterBlast Media, a digital marketing agency, I was a production intern on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and I was a control room intern at QVC. At the conclusion of my internship at QVC, I was asked to stay on as an on call control room operator where I worked until February of 2025. I am currently an APC/technical director at NBC10 Philadelphia and the lead editor for the YouTube series “Silly Lottie”I have proven my ability to thrive in a team environment, work well under pressure, take initiative, and contribute creative ideas for high-quality broadcasts. I take pride in my attention to detail, sense of urgency, and my reliability and flexibility. I am proficient in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and Jimmy Jib operation.
