About Paige Engerer

Application and formulation chemist offering technical support, application testing and innovation to Dow\'s North American beauty and personal care customers.I attended Saginaw Valley State University on a full-tuition academic scholarship. I graduated with a BS in chemistry and two minors; biology and political science. While in school I was involved in Residential Life and worked as a Resident Assistant. I was also involved in the Foundation Scholars program (a study abroad focused group), and the Honor\'s College. I spent a year and a half doing independent research and writing a thesis. My project focused on creating hole-transport layer glasses via physical vapor deposition from materials typically used in OLED applications that were more kinetically and thermodynamically stable, with minor exploration in to moisture stability and improved charge transport.Prior to my professional position with Dow Corning, I worked for two years as a college laboratory co-op with roles in front-end innovation research and development, product development, and solar application development. I joined Dow Corning as a professional early in September 2012. I have worked as a development chemist and a new business/market discovery professional. Later, I combined knowledge from previous roles and worked as a research chemist for front-end technology. My experience in research and marketing lends to the successful design of formulations and application of chemistry for the personal care market.Dow Corning was acquired by Dow in June of 2016 and I joined Dow\'s Consumer Solutions business and continue to support the personal care market through application engineering, formulation, innovation development, and technical service.
